Each OUR P.A.L.S. story follows one remarkable animal travelling to the place it needs to breed, nest, lay eggs, give birth or raise its young.

The adventures are inspired by real animal behaviour, but the story always comes first. Children meet memorable characters, experience genuine moments of peril and discover the natural world without feeling they are being taught a lesson.

Every OUR P.A.L.S. BOOK introduces children to one remarkable animal through a beautifully illustrated story set in its real habitat. Each book also includes a simple map showing where the animal lives or travels, richly illustrated endpapers, and a short, child-friendly facts section about its home, family, journey, special abilities and lifespan.

The series encourages curiosity, empathy and care for the natural world — without allowing facts to interrupt the story.

Every OUR P.A.L.S. BOOK follows a carefully designed physical-book template, giving the series a recognisable identity while allowing every animal, habitat and journey to feel completely its own.

Each volume is created as a complete keepsake book — from the front cover and spine to the endpapers and factual back matter — in our distinctive premium watercolour style.

After spending the winter far out at sea, Philip begins the long journey back to the island where puffins have returned for generations.

But when he arrives, the place he remembers is no longer quite the same. Philip must use courage, instinct and determination to find what he needs before it is too late.
